Get Size Of Tables In Mysql
Added on 30th April 2019 in Snippet

This is a small snippet to quickly see the sizes of all tables within a mysql database and ordering them in size descending. This is helpfull when trying to tidy existing databases and removing excess data.

   table_schema as `Database`,
   table_name AS `Table`,
   round(((data_length + index_length) / 1024 / 1024), 2) `Size in MB`
FROM information_schema.TABLES
ORDER BY (data_length + index_length) DESC;
